Thiagarajar college of Engineering(TCE),Madurai is a 54 year old Government Aided Autonomous Institution affiliated to Anna university and Approved by all All India Council of Technical Education. This is one of the institutions founded by Philanthropist and Industrialist late Thiru. Karumuttu Thiagarajar Chettiar in 1957.
This Institution is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and has ISO 9001:2008 certification. The college offers 7 Under Graduate,13 Post Graduate and Doctoral programs in Engineering ,Science & Humanities and Architectural disciplines.
Each department of the college has chosen a theme area so as to synergize the research and development effects of the faculty members and students. Thiagarajar Advanced Research Centre(TARC) which houses the state-of-art facilities in various theme areas including Wireless Technology, Vision system, Material Science, Information system, High performance computing and Information Management. Over the years TCE has achieved the Professional Excellence and has produced the Men of excellence in many fields.
The college has MoUs with Honeywell , IBM ,CISCO ,TVS ,National Instruments, Agilient Technologies ,Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Tata Consultancies and HCL technologies to carry out the collaborative R&D projects, Internships and resource sharing. The development centre of M/S Honeywell Technology Solution is located in the campus.
