While discovery refers to finding something which exists, innovation is a step higher. It deals with making the right changes with the existing things in the opposite direction to serve humanity. If the early man was always searching, the present man is ever innovating and this has kept life on earth intact for centuries together. Who would have ever thought that mere sand particles would fuel the entire Computer industry in the form of Silicon chips? Innovation is such!! In technical aspect, the amazing fact that electricity was both produced and consumed by the same form of energy is nothing but a mere illustration of innovation! Innovations have made us sweep past the telegrams and reach this age of high-tech smart phones. Innovation is the edifice upon which the citadel, namely development is constructed. The ever growing thirst for innovation must be quenched in such a way that it nurtures further innovation to serve the society.
