Why Psychological Counselling is important?

Psychological counselling is crucial for both college students and faculty as it addresses the unique challenges they face in their respective roles. Students often deal with academic pressure, career uncertainty, peer relationships, and personal struggles, while faculty may experience stress from workload, research demands, and maintaining work-life balance. Counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental space for both groups to express their feelings, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. It promotes mental well-being, enhances decision-making skills, and fosters a positive and supportive environment, enabling both students and faculty to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
