Overview:
Association Activities
The academic year began with a grand inauguration, setting a positive and energetic tone for a year of growth and learning. Throughout the year, the Association organized a diverse set of technical and non-technical events to support students' academic, technical, and interpersonal development.
FLASH
A welcoming and ice-breaking event exclusively for first-year students, FLASH served as a platform to introduce them to the departmental culture, activities, and values. It aimed at fostering early engagement and building a sense of belonging.
Let’s Code
An individual programming competition designed to assess and strengthen participants' logic-building and coding abilities. This event encouraged problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and time-bound coding efficiency across all academic years.
Group Discussion
Organized and moderated by final-year students, this event focused on enhancing communication and soft skills. Senior students shared their personal academic journeys, placement experiences, and offered guidance, making it an enriching and interactive session.
ROBOCAD
This was a 3D design event where participants used ROBOCAD software to model mechanical components. The event tested creativity, precision, and technical knowledge in 3D designing, making it highly popular among design enthusiasts.
CIRCUITRIX
A unique combination of an electrical circuit quiz and practical circuit-solving challenge, CIRCUITRIX assessed students' understanding of core electrical principles, component behavior, and troubleshooting skills.
MEMS – Recent Developments
A seminar on “Recent Developments in Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS)” was delivered by Dr. T. Ramesh, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Trichy. The session offered deep insights into MEMS applications in automation,
healthcare, and robotics, attracting keen participation from students and faculty.
Techutsav – Synergics 2.0
Our flagship interdepartmental technical fest, Techutsav – Synergics 2.0, stood out as the highlight of the academic year. With over 420 participants and a profit of ₹32,000, the fest showcased the technical vibrancy of our department through a mix of contests, workshops, and seminars.
